John Brown Excels in High-Scoring Affairs
John Brown appears to have found a home as a heavily-used field-stretcher in Baltimore. He's third in the NFL in Air Yards and has gotten there because of his 19.7 average depth of target (aDOT). This week, the Ravens host the New Orleans Saints as 2.5-point favorites. The game has a 50-point over/under, and Brown has had some of his best fantasy performances in home shootouts.
Brown's points in these games have typically come from trips to the end zone. Combine that with much of his usage coming from deep passes this year, and he's a volatile play, to say the least. But at just $6,500, facing a defense that allows the most points to opposing receivers, that variance is worth buying into in tournaments.
