Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos

Over/Under: 54.5

Chiefs Implied Team Total: 32.25
Broncos Implied Team Total: 22.25

Outside of the shootout in Foxborough, the Denver Broncos are the only team to play the Kansas City Chiefs reasonably close so far this year (a 27-23 loss in Week Week 4). That's no easy feat considering the offensive tornado that is Patrick Mahomes. The hope here is that the Broncos -- aided by 10 days of rest -- can again keep it a ball game.

Case Keenum, QB, Denver Broncos
FanDuel Price: $7,000

Case Keenum's job security is even better with Chad Kelly's release. That's good timing in a matchup against the Chiefs, who've given up the seventh-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. It's a theme throughout this article, but the Chiefs offense is another vehicle for breeding shootouts. Playing in negative game scripts is when Keenum has had his two 20-plus-point games over the last three weeks. The floor is too low for cash, but those willing to embrace risk should consider Keenum as a cost-saving way of getting in on the action.

Kareem Hunt, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
FanDuel Price: $8,100

Arguably the hottest running back this side of Todd Gurley, Kareem Hunt has 20-plus touches in three of his last four games and has established himself as a high-floor, high-ceiling option. After a slow start, Hunt just recorded six targets and five catches in consecutive games. He has at least 90-plus yards or a touchdown in six of seven games this year. Denver, meanwhile, is allowing 5.49 yards per carry and has faced the second-most rushing attempts in the league. Bet on Hunt to keep his hot streak going as a 10-point home favorite in a pristine matchup.

Others to Consider

Phillip Lindsay ($6,500) makes for a great stacking partner with Keenum and Hunt, especially if Royce Freeman ($5,700) misses with an ankle. He left last week's game with an and didn't practice on Wednesday. His absence would offer Lindsay extra opportunities on the ground and in the red zone, elevating his cash appeal in a high-scoring game.

Emmanuel Sanders ($7,200) is a treat to watch, but his price has begun to climb a bit. He's surpassed 20-plus points three different times this year, so the ceiling is there, but the Chiefs are actually just an average matchup for receivers. Sanders' worst game of the year came against the Chiefs at home.

Instead, you can play Sammy Watkins ($6,400) for another cheap way to get in on the action. He's a strong pivot off Tyreek Hill ($7,800) and Travis Kelce ($7,300), both of whom carry high ceilings but high prices to go along with them. Watkins has somewhat surprisingly seen seven-plus targets in four of the six healthy games he's played in this year and is sure to have much lower ownership than his expensive counterparts. Kelce is an elite high-floor option every week. Hill is a boom-or-bust baller who wins you weeks but will hurt your lineup if he doesn't hit a splash play.
