5 DraftKings Bargains for Week 11
TreQuan Smith, WR, New Orleans Saints
DraftKings Price: $4,000
Projected Points: 7.85
Projected Value (points per $1,000): 1.96
The New Orleans Saints are sizable favorites in what is projected as the main slate's highest-scoring game.
Tre'Quan Smith isn't safe by any stretch, but he's an affordable piece to this game who is also the cheapest starter on either team.
There was a certain level of excitement around Smith among the DFS community when the Saints were playing against the Rams in a similar spot, but Smith returned little value in that game and has been quiet since then. Despite the Brandon Marshall signing earlier this week, Smith should still be heavily involved in the offense. Since Ted Ginn Jr. landed on injured reserve, Smith's had a 70.3% snap rate and 21% of team air yards -- second on the team by a good margin.
The Philadelphia Eagles are now limping into the game without their three top corners. They have given up the fourth-most DraftKings points per game to opposing wide receivers, at 43.3, which should start to climb in the upcoming weeks.
Smith is by no means a cash-game play, but he's really a bet on his home-run ability and against the “what have you done lately” notion.
