4 NFL FanDuel Tournament Pivots for Week 13
Wide Receiver
Chalk
With both the Chiefs and Rams slated for implied team totals north of 30 points, that should lead to plenty of passing opportunities for these wide receivers. Guys like Tyreek Hill, Brandin Cooks, and Robert Woods should all be chalky plays on this main slate.
Facing a poor Arizona Cardinals defense, the Aaron Rodgers-led Green Bay offense is likely to be heavily owned, including Davante Adams, who we have projected for 14.5 FanDuel points on Sunday.
With Jameis Winston performing well, Mike Evans and the Bucs passing game won't go overlooked either, especially when you consider the Panthers 28th-ranked passing defense. With Winston back in as starter, Evans has posted back-to-back efforts of six catches each week, totaling 236 receiving yards. An over/under of 54.5 points certainly doesn't hurt, either.
Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons: $8,600 (vs Baltimore Ravens)
If the Atlanta Falcons want to snap their three-game losing streak and climb back into the NFC playoff race, they need to grab a win against the Baltimore Ravens, who rank as the league's best defense and third-best passing defense by our metrics. From a fantasy perspective, it checks out as well -- they've allowed the fourth-fewest FanDuel points to opposing wide receivers (24.4 per game).
Baltimore's defense may get tested a bit this week, as the Falcons return home, where it's obvious that Matt Ryan has performed far better in a pretty large sample size per the RotoViz Game Splits App:
Specifically in 2018, the 4-7 Falcons have been far better on offense at home, averaging 30 points per game, compared to only 20 on the road. While Julio Jones has still struggled to find pay-dirt with only three receiving touchdowns, he leads the NFL in receiving yards (1,305) and targets (125), and his Average Targeted Air Yards (TAY) mark of 13.7 shows he's got plenty of deep threat ability, as he ranks second in 20-plus yard receptions (20).
We have Jones slated for 15.7 FanDuel points, but in tournaments, that could rise to as high as 28.2 FanDuel points. Jones has topped 18-plus FanDuel points in each of his last four games, and with a little end zone luck, he could post a ridiculous score for your lineups.
