The bad news is that Curtis Samuel's touchdown streak ended at two games.

The good news is that he set new career highs in targets (11), receptions (6) and receiving yards (88).

Moving forward, he will see increased competition for targets from Devin Funchess, who will likely play a bigger role as he gets healthier, after being targeted just 3 times in limited action in Week 13. But Samuel benefits from the unfortunate injury to Greg Olsen that will likely sideline him for the rest of the season.

And with a soft matchup against the Cleveland Browns looming in Week 14, Samuel is well worth plucking off the waiver wire where he is still available.
