5 NFL Stats to Know Through Week 14
Josh Allen Ran for 100 Yards Yet Again
Rookie quarterback Josh Allen is far from a polished passer at this stage of his first NFL season, but that doesn't mean he isn’t fun to watch. This was evident yet again in the Buffalo Bills' loss to the New York Jets on Sunday.
Allen went over 100 yards rushing for the second game in a row, in the process becoming just the second quarterback in NFL history with 3 straight games of at least 95 yards rushing. Tobin Rote of the pre-Vince Lombardi Green Bay Packers achieved this feat back in 1951. Allen also joined an illustrious group of Bills players to rush for 95 or more yards in 3 straight games. Hall of Famers O.J. Simpson and Thurman Thomas, as well as Fred Jackson, are the only other Bills to meet this accomplishment.
Allen's 335 rushing yards trails only Saquon Barkley in terms of yards over the last three games. His Week 15 matchup is not that good on paper when the Bills take on the Detroit Lions. They have allowed 8.1 and 7.9 fantasy points to quarterbacks in their last two games, respectively, but Allen's predilection toward running the ball gives him an intriguing floor against almost any team.
