Yahoo! Ownership: 24%
Through the first 12 weeks of the season, Derek Carr was barely startable in 2-QB leagues, ranking as the QB24 with 13.9 fantasy points per game. Something must have clicked for the Oakland Raiders’ quarterback the last two weeks as he has turned his season around, finishing as the QB3 since Week 13. Carr posted an impressive combined 43.0 fantasy points against some formidable competition in the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Carr unquestionably played his best two games of the season, completing 75% of his passes for 607 yards, 5 touchdowns, and no interceptions. He led the Raiders to an average of 28.5 points, well above their season average of 17.0 points they posted in Weeks 1-12. Carr has the perfect opponent in Week 15 to keep his good times rolling as the Cincinnati Bengals have allowed at least 24 points to their last eight opponents.
The Bengals’ D has more than struggled this year as they have given up the most yards per game (421.9). They rank in the bottom-10 for overall and pass defense, according to our schedule-adjusted metrics. As you would expect, quarterbacks have done well against Cincy, posting the second-most fantasy points per game (21.76) against them this season.
