10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 16

Kerryon Johnson didn't appear to be particularly close to playing in Week 15, and Zach Zenner had his second straight good week in the rookie's absence.

In Week 14, Zenner broke out for 54 yards and a tuddie on 12 carries. This past Sunday, he got the start over LeGarrette Blount and amassed 45 yards and a score on 10 carries. Blount had a mere nine yards on seven carries with just two attempts after halftime.

In short, Zenner has passed Blount on the depth chart.

Admittedly, Zenner has some things working against him. The Detroit Lions' offense has been pretty bad lately, and a Week 16 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings is a brutal one.

But Zenner could see an expanded role if Johnson continues to sit (Detroit has no reason to rush Johnson back), and while it will be difficult to trust Zenner as a flex option in Week 16, he's worth an add to serve as a bench option this coming week, especially for those who are hurting at running back.
