6 NFL FanDuel Value Plays for the Conference Championships
Sammy Watkins, WR, Kansas City Chiefs
Price: $5,600
Sammy Watkins returned from injury and immediately resumed a solid workload for KC, notching eight targets. He turned those into a respectable 6 receptions for 62 yards, but with no touchdowns that left him with a tame 9.2 FanDuel points.
While that may have been a disappointment if you played him last week, the glass-half-full takeaway is that it leaves him nice and affordable this week.
In the seven full games (at least 80% of snaps) he played in the regular season, Watkins averaged 6.9 targets per game. That was good for 20% of the team's total, and with his 9.6-yard average depth of target, he also accounted for 20% of their air yards.
He topped 16 FanDuel points in three of those seven games (including a season-high of 26.7), while notching at least nine FanDuel points six times in the regular season.
As I've mentioned, KC has the slate's second-highest implied total, and that workload gives Watkins a ton of upside this week.
