Andre Johnson, WR, Houston Texans

9, 7, 2, 5.

This sequence of numbers is certainly a code, but not one that has any sort of rational solution. That is the fantasy line for Andre Johnson thus far this year. Johnson, currently ranked 37th among wide receivers in weekly average fantasy scoring, is no longer the beast with the ball he once was. He's brought in 22 receptions to date, putting him on pace for 88 catches, which is nothing to sneeze at. The offense in Houston, however, has become predicated on short, secure passes that keep ball control and give the running game behind Arian Foster a real chance to march the team forward.

Johnson himself has ceased to be the big-play receiver that he was in his prime, ranking just 77th among receivers with 10 or more targets in Reception NEP on a per target basis. Johnson is no longer the offensive threat we thought he was, both due to system and aging. Add in that he plays a shockingly passable Dallas pass defense this week, and Johnson looks like a flex option at best, but a low-ceilinged one at that.
