5 Late-Round Wide Receivers to Target in Fantasy Football Drafts in 2015
Kenny Stills, Miami Dolphins
Bye Week: 5
Season: 3rd
ADP: 115 (WR46)
The Dolphins have had a busy offseason. They snagged tight end Jordan Cameron from Cleveland, drafted the athletic DeVante Parker in the first round of this year's draft before stealing Jay Ajayi in the fifth, and then signed the ever-improving Ryan Tannehill to a new six-year, $96 million deal.
And with all the hoopla surrounding the Dolphins' more publicized moves, one of Miami's most important acquisitions -- wide receiver Kenny Stills -- has gone largely unnoticed.
Last year, Kenny Stills wasn't just one of the Saints best receivers -- reeling in 63 catches for 931 yards to lead the team in receiving -- he was also one of the league's most efficient wideouts. Indeed, as our own Brandon Gdula described earlier this season, his 1.05 Reception NEP per target in 2014 led the NFL among receivers with at least 40 targets.
With sub-4.4 speed and a 17.0 yards per reception average over his first two seasons in the league, Stills is a threat to break off a long reception on any given play and just might be the receiver Miami hoped for when they signed Mike Wallace in 2013. And with rookie DeVante Parker out for the entire offseason following surgery to replace a screw in his foot, Stills will have plenty of opportunity to build chemistry with and gain the trust of Tannehill.
As Jarvis Landry, DeVante Parker, and the rest of the Dolphins soak up all the attention this offseason, Stills might just fly under the radar to give fantasy football managers the perfect risk-to-reward ratio to warrant his selection in the latter half of drafts this year.
