T.J. Yeldon, Jacksonville Jaguars

Maybe it’s just the Jacksonville-jinx, or their lack of an average or better offensive line, but it looks like T.J. Yeldon could be destined to follow in Gerhart’s footsteps in 2015.

There’s no better place to start this discussion than the aforementioned offensive line, which ranked 30th in run blocking according to Football Outsiders. The Jaguars did add tackle Jeremy Parnell and third-round pick A.J. Cann to the mix with the hopes of solidifying the group.

Yeldon certainly possesses the skills to be a usable NFL running back, but the surrounding offensive group is most likely going to limit his upside for fantasy purposes.

Our editor-in-chief JJ Zachariason did an excellent job showing how quarterback efficiency greatly affects a running back’s fantasy production.

Blake Bortles finished dead-last among all quarterbacks in Passing NEP last season (-97.97), more than twice as bad the next-worst signal caller (Derek Carr, -40.94).

With the influx of talent in Jacksonville, the arrow is certainly pointing up, but it’s not hard to see Yeldon’s touchdown upside being limited by an offense that may not visit the red zone very often in 2015.
