Round 8 saw a mini-run on quarterbacks with three taken in a four-pick span. Drew Brees is actually our second highest projected quarterback, even with the massive loss of talent at the receiving positions and is looking like a potential draft day steal.
Baltimore's rookie Breshad Perriman looks to take over the vacated role of Torrey Smith. If the rookie can get healthy, he has the potential to be the top-scoring rookie wide receiver. He's being overlooked.
Another overlooked receiver is New England's Brandon LaFell. After a Week 4 breakout, LaFell was a heavily utilized receiver picking up 20.1% of the team's passing targets. Possessing a high ceiling as one of the Patriots' vertical receivers, LaFell was able to have four different weeks as a top-12 wide receiver.
Danny Woodhead at the end of the eighth round is a terrific pick and looks to return to fantasy relevance after last year's early season-ending injury.
