First, let me start off with a mea culpa for recommending Nick Toon as a late-round flier earlier this offseason. You can't win 'em all, and Toon didn't win a job. But the guy who replaced him, Brandon Coleman, is a straight giant. And you can't teach 6’6”, 225 pounds lining up out wide.

Coleman seems to have developed a rapport with Drew Brees, garnering seven total targets, while reeling four of them in with a touchdown to boot. In fact, he was targeted as many times as Brees' longtime trusted receiver, Marques Colston, and only one fewer time than young speedster, Brandin Cooks.

Now, Cooks will remain Brees' number-one option this season provided he stays healthy. But Coleman could continue challenging Colston for looks with a size, speed and age advantages. But even if he doesn't challenge Colston, expect him to remain heavily involved in the passing game in three wide-receiver sets. That's a pretty decent place to be if Brees is chucking you the rock.
