5 Daily Fantasy Football Matchups to Exploit in Week 2
Miami Dolphins Rushing Offense
How many of you got burned by Lamar Miller in Week 1? Nobody can blame you as game flow should have dictated that he would get sweet volume despite a stout Washington run defense, but the Dolphins decided points were for losers that day. I'm going to turn to Miller this week as his matchup doesn't appear nearly as difficult.
In 2014, Washington finished sixth in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play. The Jacksonville Jaguars were down in 18th place. Meanwhile, the Dolphins finished fifth in Adjusted Rushing NEP per play. This isn't a slam-dunk matchup just based on efficiency, but when you add in the projected game flow, it gets pretty close to it.
The Dolphins are on the road, yes, but they are also favored by 7 points. With an over/under of 41.5, this gives them an implied total of 24.25. While this isn't a high enough total to endorse heavy investment in the offense, it's more than enough to warrant ownership in one guy. That's Miller.
The Dolphins ran the ball 18 times in Week 1. Miller got 13 of those carries. Three went to Ryan Tannehill, and another went to Jarvis Landry. The only carry that went to a running back not named Miller was one to Damien Williams. There really isn't any competition for carries for Miller right now. In a game that projects to have a plethora of rush attempts, rostering Miller for $7,300 on FanDuel makes a whole lot of sense to me.
