Kamar Aiken, WR, Baltimore Ravens

Unlike some of the other players on this week's waiver wire list, adding Kamar Aiken off the waiver wire is less about ability and more about opportunity.
This past Thursday against the Steelers, Steve Smith, Sr. sustained four microfractures in his back, guaranteeing that the team's lead receiver and elder statesman will be out for at least the team's next game. This opens the door for someone on this team to step up and absorb the 12 targets per game Smith has averaged as the team's number one wideout.
After catching 5 of 7 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in a win in Pittsbutgh, Aiken showed that he just may be the man for this job. Indeed, he currently sits second on the team in Reception NEP through the seasons' first four games.
With Joe Flacco running out of receiving options on this offense, Aiken could be the prime beneficiary for at least the short-term while Smith and rookie Breshad Perriman continue to nurse their various injuries.
