Week 6 NFL Advanced Analytics Superstars
Wide Receiver: DeAndre Hopkins
DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Houston Texans
10 Receptions, 148 Yards, 15 Targets, 2 Touchdowns
NEP: +17.10
Speaking of multiple high-end performers, this also makes it the third straight week DeAndre Hopkins has led all receivers in NEP. His +17.10 performance was huge in a 31-20 road win against Jacksonville.
Picking up 10 receptions for 148 yards on 15 targets, Hopkins was once again nearly uncoverable for the Jaguars' defensive backs. He was able to find the end zone twice, capping off another spectacular week where he led all receivers with 36.8 fantasy points.
His greatest play of the day might have been his sideline helmet catch where he was able to pin the ball against his helmet and maintain possession before toe tapping and falling out of bounds. Hopkins has become a bonafide star following Andre Johnson's departure, as he leads all receivers in Reception NEP and has an absurd 98.1% Success Rate on the year.
The Steelers welcomed back Martavis Bryant with open arms, as he and Landry Jones connected for two touchdowns. Bryant has picked up right where he left off last season and made big plays all over the field. Keenan Allen could've had an even bigger day if an injury hadn't sidelined him. However, 14 receptions for 157 is still nothing to scoff at. Calvin Johnson, Alshon Jeffery, and Steve Smith all had big games with each surpassing 100 yards and reaching the end zone.
