10 Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 7
Tavon Austin, WR, St. Louis Rams
I'm as befuddled as everyone else with the Tavon Austin breakout, but the Rams seem content on feeding him the ball. Aside from Week 3 against the Steelers, Austin has seen at least seven opportunities (carries plus targets), and he has five red zone targets in his past two games. Cleveland ranks 21st in pass defense, according to our metrics, so they aren't of the shut-down variety.
Further, Cleveland's Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play (0.16) is about as far from 31st-ranked Tennessee (0.12) as Tennessee is from 28th-ranked San Diego (0.08). That indicates a big day from Todd Gurley. Cleveland is well aware that they need to focus on Gurley, so there can be space for Austin to keep doing the unthinkable and score another touchdown.
