Defenses

High-Cost Option: Arizona Cardinals $3,600

In a home game where the Arizona Cardinals are favored by 7.5 points, the Cardinals look to be a safe play this week against the struggling 1-5 Baltimore Ravens. Arizona's defense brings turnovers and pressure as a well-rounded unit in stopping the run and the pass. This game script looks like it'll force the Ravens to pass in order to keep up, something that Arizona's secondary and their league-leading 11 interceptions should absolutely feast on.

Mid-Cost Option: Atlanta Falcons $3,300

The Titans are facing a quarterback injury that is most likely leading to Zach Mettenberger starting this week. The Falcons' defense has to be chomping at the bit for this game. In the seven games he played last year, Mettenberger threw an interception in every single game. Tennessee was already allowing the most fantasy points to opposing defenses, and we will likely see that trend continue until Marcus Mariota can get healthy.

Low-Cost Option: Washington Redskins $2,500

I like to consider myself a nice guy, but even I would have no qualms picking on Jameis Winston relentlessly in this game. The Redskins' run defense has been terrific this year, and they'll force Winston to the air if the Buccaneers wish to keep pace in this game. Unfortunately for Tampa Bay, that means they'll be putting their success in the hands of a guy who is throwing 2.3 interceptions and allowing 2 sacks per game in each of Tampa Bay's three losses. As 3.5-point home favorites, the Redskins are a cheap "what the heck" play that could reach great value if their offense can jump out to an early lead and force Winston into second-half mistakes.

GPP Wildcard: Pittsburgh Steelers $2,600

The Steelers make for an interesting GPP play as they are road 3.5-point favorites heading into Arrowhead Stadium. The 1-5 Chiefs will be without Jamaal Charles and most likely Jeremy Maclin (concussion) this week, as their offense will likely struggle moving the ball once again. The Steelers have the sixth-most sacks in the league (17) and will face a Kansas City offensive line that has given up the second-most sacks (23). Averaging 12 fantasy points over their last two outings against much better offenses in Arizona and San Diego, the Steelers defense could easily hit value in what projects to be a low offensive output by the Chiefs this week.
