10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 8

DeAndre Hopkins owners are probably not so keen on Nate Washington right now, but it really does make little sense that Washington is so low-owned. For one, the Texans have unfortunately lost Arian Foster due to a torn Achilles. As a result it'd be reasonable to expect the Texans' pass-to-run balance to begin tilting more toward the pass moving forward. And not every target can go to Hopkins.
Prior to Foster going down in Week 7, Washington was still a huge part of the Texans garbage-time game plan against the Dolphins, garnering a total of 16 targets on the day compared to Hopkins' 12. And Washington did crazy work with those targets too, turning them into 9 catches for 127 yards and 2 touchdowns. It was the second game of the year in which he had been targeted more than 10 times as well, so while he might not be able to put up league-topping stat lines on most weeks, he is getting his looks.
Washington hasn't been incredibly efficient with his targets this season, compiling a 0.66 Reception NEP per target on his 44 targets. But given that he's averaged over eight targets per game, and because the Foster injury is likely to change the Texans' offensive dynamic to tilt more toward the pass, he is certainly worth a waiver wire add, and is very likely to be available in your league.
