10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 10
Tony Romo
ESPN Ownership: 42%
Yahoo Ownership: 56%
Tony Romo is probably a forgotten man in many fantasy football leagues by now, but it is believed that he will return to play in Week 11. And if you've been streaming the position this season and want to settle down at quarterback for your playoff run, Romo could be your guy.
Look, I want to drop some hot knowledge that should be conventional wisdom, but apparently is not at this point because there's a school of thought that measures quarterback wins as an actual statistic. But Tony Romo is really good. From 2006 to 2014, Romo put up eight straight top-12 seasons in terms of Total NEP, and he really rounded into form in 2014, posting a career best (and second in the league) 0.31 Passing NEP per drop back.
And when he comes back, he'll have a healthy Dez Bryant and a rejuvenated Darren McFadden at his disposal, all the while in the middle of a playoff chase in a bad division. Romo is actually rostered in a lower percentage of ESPN leagues than Bortles is and should be back in two short weeks. Roster him now before someone else in your leagues becomes wise to his return.
