7 FanDuel Bargains for Week 10
Kirk Cousins ($6,000)
Kirk Cousins isn't exactly the most under-the-radar bargain quarterback, but he's being talked about for good reason this week.
He's been a serviceable passer so far this season, producing 0.11 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back, which ranks 16th among the 33 quarterbacks to record at least 100 drop backs on the season. His 34.55 Passing NEP ranks 13th.
Cousins isn't going to blow anyone away with his play, but that's not what we need from him with his low price tag, especially with a hugely favorable matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
The Saints are giving up the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this year. They've allowed 10 passing touchdowns over their last two games, and only once have they held an opposing quarterback to fewer than 2 touchdowns (against Brandon Weeden in Week 4).
In fact, according to our metrics, the Saints have been historically bad against the pass. They are giving up a schedule-adjusted 0.31 Adjusted Passing NEP per play, which ranks last in the league. The worst season-long total in our database, which dates back to 2000, is the 2009 Jaguars, who posted a 0.29. The Saints are on pace to be the worst passing defense since 2000, and Cousins should be able to exploit this for a nice fantasy total.
