Plugging the Gaps: IDP Waiver Wire for Week 10
Keenan Robinson, Linebacker
I know I’ve been a sucker for Keenan Robinson in the past, and he let me down. But, Keenan, I just can’t quit you -– especially not after Week 9 saw him pull in seven total tackles and an interception against the New England Patriots. That’s impressive stuff. No, Robinson has not been the same kind of player who racked up 109 total tackles and 5 stuffs in 2014’s breakout campaign, but he’s played through ribs, shoulder, and neck injuries all year. I’m going to give him a pass and recommend you grab him wherever you can in advance of this week.
Why this week in particular? The New Orleans Saints aren’t a particularly great offense for rushing tackle opportunities, are they? Au contraire, mes amis. The Saints have rushed the ball an average of 30 times a game over the past four weeks, and are poised to tote the rock for a heavy load again against a Washington defense that ranks in the bottom half of the NFL in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play. Even if New Orleans resorts to passing the ball, Robinson’s athletic profile allows him to be a great coverage ‘backer against players like tight end Benjamin Watson -– recipient of an average eight targets per game over the last four weeks.
Robinson is available in 89.9% of ESPN IDP leagues. We project him for around 6.0 tackles, a chance for a pass defensed, and a total score of 6.83 balanced fantasy points in Week 10. If he cannot play in Week 10, inside linebacker Will Compton is available in 99.7% of ESPN IDP leagues.
