During the regular season most owners are content to follow the "start your studs" motto. We tend to disregard matchup, trends, Vegas lines and just roll out our best players in the hope that their talent will rise to the top. With the playoffs upon on, we can't afford to have one of our "studs" put up a disappointing performance now though.

If you've relied on someone like Darren McFadden in your lineup this season, you may be forced to make a difficult lineup decision as he takes on the stout New York Jets run defense this week. And while I obviously wouldn't recommend blindly benching your star players for unproven options off of the waiver wire, calculated risks this time of year can pay big dividends.
