7. Tyler Eifert, Cincinnati Bengals

Eifert checks in at number seven on our list after a season in which he posted 52 receptions for 615 yards and 13 touchdowns. Eifert scored the most touchdowns of any tight end in the league, and keep in mind that Eifert played in only 13 games this season, missing time down the stretch with a concussion.

Eifert’s 72.15 Reception NEP may only check in as seventh best on our list, but his Reception NEP per target (0.98) was best among the 28 tight ends with at least 50 targets on the season.

If we delve deeper into numberFire’s efficiency metric, we find that, in the red zone, Eifert posted a 27.78 Reception NEP, second only to a tight end who we’ll find later on in our rankings.

In terms of fantasy football production, Eifert posted 10.7 points per game in standard scoring leagues, third best among tight ends.
