5 NFL Teams That Need Wide Receiver Help Entering the Draft

In high school, I was absolutely obsessed with distance running.

Running, by nature, is a sport that pits you against yourself: whether you’re racing the clock or simply pushing your own limits of endurance, there is no direct competition that you’re trying to score against. Team cross-country running, however, requires you to work in tandem with your teammates to push as many of the opposing runners out of placing as possible. Not only are you working on your own personal goals, but you are also competing for a greater idea as well.

Former Green Bay Packers head coach Vince Lombardi said it best when he declared, “Individual commitment to a group effort: that is what makes a team work.” This is what we hope to see with NFL wide receivers as well: that they relish competing in one-on-one matchups with their assigned cornerbacks but are contributors to the team that they play on as well.
