There's no way the Colts enter 2016 with Frank Gore atop their depth chart and Robert Turbin and Jordan Todman as backups. Right?

Right?

Well, the Colts seem confident in Gore's almost 33-year-old legs, as they didn't even select a running back in the draft. Not one.

Gore was anything but fantastic last year. Yes, he was fine in fantasy because he stayed healthy and saw volume, but Gore rarely gave fantasy owners high-end weeks, ranking in the top-12 at the running back position in a given week in PPR leagues just twice.

The problem is that judging or projecting Gore's production in Indianapolis after the 2015 campaign probably isn't all that fair. Andrew Luck was out for the majority of the season, so Gore didn't benefit from having a strong passing presence. And as we know, that matters for scoring touchdowns.

As it stands today, Gore is in line for a ton of work. The difference this year compared to last -- aside from the fact that he's a year older -- is that you don't have to spend a premium pick to acquire him. While he was a third-rounder last year, FantasyFootballCalculator.com's early average draft position data has Gore as an eighth-round pick.

I'll take that all day for a guy who's likely to see well over 230 touches, even if he's old enough to be Ezekiel Elliott's dad.
