12 Players to Avoid in Fantasy Football Drafts This Year

From Weeks 1 to 8, the Houston Texans ranked 19th in the NFL with a 0.06 Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play mark. By the end of the year, the Texans were tied for the second-best Adjusted Defensive NEP per play in the league, at -0.03.

During the latter half of the season, with an improved defense, DeAndre Hopkins averaged only 81 yards and 10 targets per game. During the first half of the season where there were more negative game scripts thanks to poor defensive play, Hopkins saw nearly 109 yards per game with 14 targets each contest.

The team's acquisition of running back Lamar Miller -- who ranked 13th out of 38 qualified running backs (running backs who saw 125 or more carries) in Rushing NEP per attempt last year -- would seem to indicate a plan to continue running the ball more than most teams in the NFL in 2016, too. That won't help his volume totals.

While I expect Hopkins to have a solid season, his current draft position is just a little too high.
