Wide Receiver: Kelvin Benjamin

Again, it's not as though Kelvin Benjamin is a bad football player who will end up hurting a Panthers' offense that scored more points than any other unit last year. It's just that, when you break things down, Benjamin is more in the WR3 discussion than WR2 one.

As good as he was his rookie year, much of his fantasy success stemmed from volume, where he saw the sixth-most targets (145) in the league. That season, Benjamin led Carolina Panthers' pass-catchers in team market share, seeing 25.75% of the team's targets.

Not only will it be difficult for him to maintain that share with an up-and-comer in Devin Funchess lining up opposite of him, but the Panthers threw the ball more in 2014 than they have in any year since 2001. So even if Benjamin were to see the same market share, his volume would be on the decline, which is a big deal considering he finished as the 16th-best wide receiver that year and is being drafted the exact same way -- WR16 -- in 2016.

And while a lot of folks are making the assumption that the Panthers' offense is going to only get better with Benjamin, know that Cam Newton is in store for some touchdown regression. It's not going to be as easy of a time scoring points this year as it was last year.

numberFire projections have Benjamin as the 26th-ranked wideout, meaning he's being selected about two rounds too early. That's pretty significant during the early portion of your draft.
