San Francisco vs. Seattle NFC Championship Preview: Road Warriors
Despite a 19-17 win over Seattle at home in Week 14 and an eight-game winning streak, the 49ers find themselves as underdogs this weekend in the NFC Championship.
It’s for good reason though. A Colin Kaepernick-led 49ers team has played the Seahawks on the road twice. In those two games, San Francisco has been outscored 71-16.
You just don’t win in Seattle. The Seahawks have lost one game in their home stadium since Christmas Eve of 2011, coming against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 16 a few weeks ago. It’s the only game quarterback Russell Wilson has lost in front of his most avid fans.
In order for another trip to the Super Bowl for Jim Harbaugh’s team, a lot needs to go right. But as you’ll see, this isn’t an impossible task for the talented 49ers – a win in Seattle is just another giant obstacle for this relentless San Francisco team to overcome.
