FanDuel Single-Game Daily Fantasy Football Helper: Week 12 Sunday Night

Week 12's Sunday Night Football game features an NFC matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers. Following the main slate of action, fantasy enthusiasts can stay involved throughout the night by playing in FanDuel's Sunday night's single-game contests.

For those unfamiliar, single-game slates feature five flex spots with identical scoring to the main slate. However, kickers are included in these contests and there is an "MVP" roster slot. The MVP receives 1.5-times his total fantasy points, making this spot crucial.

Bookmakers currently peg the 49ers as 3.0-point favorites with a 47.5-point over/under. Here are the notable matchups to target on this slate.

MVP Consideration

Jimmy Garoppolo ($15,500) - With quarterbacks playing an elevated role on single-game slates, both Jimmy Garoppolo and Aaron Rodgers deserve consideration here. With more consistent play, a cheaper price, and a favorable matchup, Garoppolo gets the edge for me. Currently averaging 249.7 passing yards per game, Garoppolo faces the ninth-ranked Green Bay pass defense, according to our schedule-adjusted metrics. In their last two games, the Packers allowed both Philip Rivers and Kyle Allen to reach at least 294 passing yards. Garoppolo hasn't passed for fewer than 248 yards in any of his last three games, making him a solid target here.

Davante Adams ($14,000) - Now almost four weeks removed from his toe injury, Davante Adams appears close to full health. Adams played 84 and 78 percent of Green Bay's snaps prior to their bye week. In that span of games, he recorded target counts of 11 and 10 with 275 combined air yards. Those numbers equate to a 43 percent air yards share and 33 percent target share. While the 49ers pose a difficult matchup as the top-ranked pass defense, Adams' volume and overall ability keep him in play for the MVP slot.

George Kittle ($12,500) - Expected to return from injury, George Kittle comes in a bit under-priced. Kittle hasn't played since Week 9, but he remains one of the top players at his position. Prior to the injury, Kittle recorded a 26.1 target share and 25.4 percent air yards share, both of which lead the team. The Packers have struggled to defend tight ends throughout 2019, allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to the position this season (14.7). With Kittle approaching full health, he offers salary-saving and a contrarian lineup build from the MVP slot.

Value Plays

Jimmy Graham ($8,000) - Aside from Adams, Jimmy Graham has emerged as one of Rodgers' most reliable weapons. Prior to the Week 11 bye, Graham played on 64 percent of the Packers' snaps in back-to-back weeks. In that span, he saw target counts of four and three. With Green Bay deploying a wide receiver rotation behind Adams, Graham's consistent role in the offense keeps him in play.

Raheem Mostert ($6,500) - With Matt Breida doubtful for tonight's game, it looks like Raheem Mostert will play an elevated role tonight. Last week without Breida, Mostert played on 48 percent of San Francisco's snaps. He handled six rush attempts and three targets in the pass game. The Packers rank 31st in rush defense, according to our metrics, creating an advantageous matchup for Mostert. The 49ers will also play this game as 3.0-point home favorites, which bodes well for a run-heavy game plan.

Geronimo Allison ($6,000) - As far as ancillary pass catchers go, Geronimo Allison looks like the most likely to pop up for a big game. In Week 10, Allison played the second-most snaps among wide receivers for the Packers (63 percent). While he has only five targets in their last two games, his consistent presence on the field creates opportunities. Behind Allison, Allen Lazard played 47 percent of snaps, Jake Kumerow got 33 percent, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling logged 17 percent. Among this group, Allison looks to have a slight edge.
