FanDuel Single-Game Daily Fantasy Football Helper: Week 14 Sunday Night

Week 14's Sunday Night Football game features an NFC West matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams. Following the main slate of action, fantasy enthusiasts can stay involved throughout the night by playing in FanDuel's Sunday night's single-game contests.

For those unfamiliar, single-game slates feature five flex spots with identical scoring to the main slate. However, kickers are included in these contests and there is an "MVP" roster slot. The MVP receives 1.5-times his total fantasy points, making this spot crucial.

Bookmakers currently list this game as a pick'em with a 47.5-point over/under. Here are the notable matchups to target on this slate.

MVP Considerations

Russell Wilson ($15,500) - Russell Wilson looks like the preferred option to Jared Goff on Sunday night. Wilson continues to play at an MVP level in real life football this season, completing 67.4 percent of his passes. Also throwing 26 touchdowns and only four interceptions, Wilson remains one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the NFL. This week, he draws a Rams' pass defense that ranks 16th, according to our schedule-adjusted metrics. With a middling opponent and a solid game total, Wilson deserves consideration for the MVP slot.

Todd Gurley ($13,500) - Playing an elevated role of late, Todd Gurley has been in on 98 and 72 percent of the Rams' snaps in back-to-back weeks. Last week, Gurley saw 20 touches, including 19 carries. Improving matters even more, six of those touches came in the red zone, lifting Gurley's scoring equity. This week, he faces a Seahawks defense that ranks 14th in run D. With an expected close game here, Gurley's scoring upside remains too high to ignore.

Cooper Kupp ($12,000) - After a mid-season slump, Cooper Kupp stepped up for the Rams in each of their last two weeks. With LA demolishing the Arizona Cardinals last time out, Kupp recorded just six catches for 65 yards, while Robert Woods and Tyler Higbee each eclipsed 100 yards. However, Kupp still leads the team in targets (11) and air yards (883). The Seahawks currently rank 11th against the pass despite allowing the fourth-most passing yards per game (269.3).

Value Plays

Jacob Hollister ($8,500) - Still under-appreciated in Seattle's offense, Jacob Hollister has quietly played on 69 and 81 percent of Seattle's offensive snaps in their last two games. On that opportunity, Hollister saw eight targets, reeling in six catches for 44 receiving yards. Receiving the second-most targets on the team across the last two weeks, Hollister remains a worthy dart throw in this matchup.

Brandin Cooks ($7,500) - Taking a backseat to Kupp and Woods, Brandin Cooks enters Week 14 at a modest price tag. Despite playing a majority of the snaps, Cooks has target counts of just four and two in his last two weeks. On the bright side, he has played 77 percent of LA's snaps in back-to-back weeks, and he has enough big-play ability to be worth considering as a dart throw.

Josh Gordon ($6,000) - Looking at complete punts, Josh Gordon enters Week 14 priced at just $6,000. Still a part-time player in Seattle's offense, Gordon averages just over 30 percent of Seattle's snaps on a weekly basis in his brief time on the 'Hawks. Unfortunately, Gordon hasn't received more than two targets in any game with Seattle this season. However, at just $6,000, Gordon could pay off this salary with one big play.
