3 Fantasy Football Defensive Streaming Options for Week 9
Hey, it's your friendly neighborhood D/ST streaming specialist, here again, giving you weekly streaming recommendations. A reminder that lines are courtesy of NFL odds, and roster percentages and scores are according to ESPN's fantasy platform. Assume that the listed order is the preferred order.
Washington Football Team
vs. New York Giants
Spread: Football Team -3.5
Roster Percentage: 18%
The list will feature a few bad defenses this week, but Washington is not one of them. Washington is a top-10 defense, per our schedule-adjusted numbers, and they're also top-10 again the pass. Heading into a matchup with the New York Giants in which they're slight favorites, Washington is finally looking at a scenario where their strong defense is fantasy viable. Daniel Jones is one of the more turnover-prone quarterbacks in the league, so Washington could feast here.
Houston Texans
at Jacksonville Jaguars
Spread: Texans -6.5
Roster Percentage: 2%
Like I said, some bad defenses this week. The Houston Texans are a bottom-five D by our numbers, but they get a bad Jacksonville Jaguars team who is starting a backup quarterback. Jake Luton is expected to get the start this week. If the Houston offense can show some life, they'll force Luton to throw quite a bit, which is exactly what we want.
Atlanta Falcons
vs. Denver Broncos
Spread: Falcons -4
Roster Percentage: 1%
I'm not here to tell you the Atlanta Falcons have a good defense, but the unit is arguably better than the Texans'. The total in this game is up near 50 points and climbing, which isn't ideal, but Atlanta is capable of forcing a couple Drew Lock turnovers, especially if the Falcons jump out to a lead.
