FanDuel Single-Game Daily Fantasy Football Helper: Week 10 Sunday Night (Ravens at Patriots)

On Online Sportsbook, the Baltimore Ravens are 6.5-point favorites over the New England Patriots with the total at 43.5 points -- implying a 25.00-18.50 win for Baltimore.

Per our oddsFire tool, the betting public is hammering Baltimore as 82% of the money coming in on the moneyline and 93% of the money on the spread is on the Ravens. It's important to note that rain is in the forecast for this game, and there could be stretches of very heavy rain, which could force these two run-heavy teams to lean even more on the ground game.

For those unfamiliar, single-game slates feature five flex spots with identical scoring to the main slate. However, kickers are included in these contests, and there is an "MVP" roster slot. The MVP receives 1.5-times his total fantasy points, making this spot crucial.

Lamar Jackson, Ravens ($16,500)

There are only two players projected for more than 10.6 FanDuel points on this slate, and it's the two quarterbacks. Lamar Jackson isn't matching his pace from a year ago, but he's shown a solid ceiling with three games between 26.02 and 28.24 FanDuel points. He's run for 108, 65 and 58 rushing yards in his past three, scoring a pair of touchdowns on the ground in that span.

While a matchup with the Pats isn't ideal -- even though New England's D has been worse in recent weeks without Stephon Gilmore, who may miss this game, as well -- Jackson's running ability gives him a good floor, and that's particularly valuable on a slate where bankable floors are almost nonexistent.

We project Jackson for a slate-best 21.2 FanDuel points, 4.2 more than anyone else. He's going to be a chalk MVP pick, but his floor/ceiling combination warrants it.

Cam Newton, Patriots ($17,000)

After a miserable performance in Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers, Cam Newton has bounced back with better outings the past two games, totaling 18.36 and 24.56 FanDuel points. Those games came against the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets, respectively, and Newton is in for a much stiffer test against a Baltimore defense we have as the top-ranked D in the league.

Newton's fantasy production has been propped up by rushing tuds as he's scored eight rushing touchdowns in 2020, including three over the last two games. He's got 10 carries inside the five-yard line this season, scoring on six of them.

We have Newton producing 17.0 FanDuel points, and it's tough to craft an argument for using anyone other than him or Jackson as your MVP unless you really just want a unique lineup. By our projections, the two of them are actually the best point-per-dollar plays on the slate, and both should see a sky-high overall draft percentage.

Marquise Brown, Ravens ($11,000)

If I sprinkle in anyone else at MVP, it'll be Marquise Brown, hoping he makes some splash plays.

Brown has been underwhelming in 2020, going for more than 10.0 FanDuel points only three times with a single-game high of 16.8, but the usage is there. He's run a route on every Ravens pass play, and his 39.5% air yards share is good for sixth among wideouts. He's also got a solid 23.6% target share (16th-best). The big game is coming at some point, and his outlook will get a boost if Gilmore sits again.

Our model projects Brown for 10.6 FanDuel points, making him our top non-quarterback.

Rex Burkhead, Patriots ($10,000)

In a muddy Pats backfield, Rex Burkhead is the play I like most. There are a lot of moving parts, however with the potential return of Sony Michel ($7,500) and status of Damien Harris ($13,500) up in the air.

Obviously, if Michel isn't activated for this game and Harris is sidelined, Burkhead's role will be pretty locked in. If one of those two play, Burkhead should still be on the field a decent amount after leading the backfield in snap rate each of the last three weeks. If both Michel and Harris suit up, I'll probably avoid this backfield altogether unless I'm building for a lopsided Pats loss, which would lead me to James White ($10,500).

Devin Duvernay, Ravens ($6,000)

Admittedly, it's hard to make a case for any bargain-bin play on this slate, but I'll try to do it with Devin Duvernay. He's been third in snaps among the Ravens' wideouts in each of their two games since their bye, and Duvernay had at least two targets in five straight games prior to last week's zero-target outing.

Duvernay definitely has the wheels to make make a chunk play. Obviously the floor is bottomless, but I like him as a punt option more than I do Miles Boykin ($7,000) or Willie Snead ($8,000).
