4 NFL FanDuel Value Plays to Target in the Divisional Round

The Divisional Round of the NFL is here! We have an exciting six-game slate, and there are plenty of options across the board. Let's take a look at some value plays to help you afford the top stars on the main slate.

Devin Singletary, RB, Buffalo Bills ($5,700)

With Zack Moss out for the rest of the year, Devin Singletary is in a spot for more touches.

The Buffalo Bills are holding a 25.75-point implied team total and are hosting the Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional Round. It sets up as a higher-scoring game with the over/under at 49.0, and that may mean more involvement and more fantasy production from Singletary. During the regular season, Moss averaged 10 total touches per game, which leaves a decent opening in Buffalo's offense for Singletary to grab.

Most importantly, Moss led the team with 30 red zone rushing attempts, which are now vacated. It's safe to assume quarterback Josh Allen will take a few of those rushing attempts, but it's also safe to assume some will go to Singletary. These are the highest-equity touches, and it's what gives Singletary upside at his very modest $5,700 salary. Singletary is projected for 16.5 total touches and 12 FanDuel points, per our algorithm, making him the second-best value at running back this week.

Mecole Hardman, WR, Kansas City Chiefs ($5,200)

The Kansas City Chiefs have an explosive offense but are missing a few players this weekend.

Wide receiver Sammy Watkins is out for their game against the Cleveland Browns, which should open up some chances for Mecole Hardman. The Chiefs are holding a slate-high 33.50-point implied team total, and getting cheaper exposure to an offense of that caliber is never a bad thing. Hardman is typically only ever in play if Watkins or Tyreek Hill miss a game. That is the situation we have here, and the value he brings is much needed no matter we're talking about the four-game slate or the Sunday only slate.

The Browns allowed 33.0 FanDuel points per game to opposing wide receivers throughout the regular season, which was the eighth-most in the league. The matchup is fantastic for Hardman, and using him helps you be a bit different with your Chiefs' stacks compared to the Patrick Mahomes-Travis Kelce-Hill combo, which should be very popular.

Rob Gronkowski, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($5,600)

Rob Gronkowski didn't have a catch last week but is worth rostering against the New Orleans Saints.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offense took care of business last week versus Washington, but Gronkowski was left out of the action. He ended with just a single target and no receptions. That was a big departure from what we saw from Gronk in the final 10 weeks of the season, as he posted at least 12.1 FanDuel points five times in that span.

That is the level of production we can anticipate from Gronkowski this week for a few reasons.

First, the Buccaneers have a solid 24.50 implied team total and are 3.0-point underdogs. This should put them in a passing game script, and it opens up plenty of fantasy potential for Gronk. Second, the Saints allowed 10.4 FanDuel points per game to opposing tight ends, which was the 14th most in the league. Finally, Gronk had 21 red zone targets on the year, which was tied for the team lead. Tom Brady consistently looked toward Gronk when they got to the red zone, as we've seen for so many years.

Rashard Higgins, WR, Cleveland Browns ($5,300)

If the Cleveland Browns are playing from behind, they will need big games out of their wide receivers to catch up.

The Browns are 10.0-point underdogs on the road in Kansas City, and this should put them in a situation where they need to pass the ball. This ideal for their wide receivers -- specifically, Rashard Higgins. In his past five games, Higgins has had five-plus targets four times, 50-plus receiving yards four times, and 2 total touchdowns. That level of production is certainly achievable in this matchup, and Higgins' $5,300 salary provides added value.

If you are looking to do a game stack here, paying up for Mahomes, Hill, and Kelce always looks like a great option, but their salaries are costly. That could put you in a spot where you are unable to afford Jarvis Landry ($6,900). This is where Higgins comes in handy as a low-salary way to get a piece of this game.
