Super Bowl Futures Betting Update: Week 10
We are officially past the halfway point of the 2022 NFL season. For most teams, it really is all downhill from here. This is especially true of the Indianapolis Colts, who fired head coach Frank Reich on Monday and replaced him with a former Colt in Jeff Saturday. These are strange times we live in, indeed.
The weirdness that culminated in Reich's dismissal was a common theme throughout the last week of NFL action, and it impacted the betting futures for this year's Super Bowl. The FanDuel Sportsbook has the latest odds for each team to win the Vince Lombardi, which you can see below in addition to the odds we give each side based on numberFire metrics.

The big three of the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs remain at the top of the betting markets. The Bills are still out in front, despite their Week 9 loss to the plucky New York Jets. The health of quarterback Josh Allen in the coming days could have some bearing on their status as Super Bowl favorites, however.
As for the Jets, their win over the Bills saw their Super Bowl odds boost quite dramatically. The Jets are now priced at +6000, whereas this time last week you could get them at +14000. They're a longshot to be sure, but it will no doubt gladden the hearts of Jets Nation that, as we enter Week 10, numberFire's metrics make the Jets a slighter better bet than the New England Patriots to win the whole thing.
The Munich-bound Seattle Seahawks also saw their odds improve dramatically this week. The Seahawks were at +6500 a week ago. Now, they sit proudly atop the NFC West with +3400 odds to take the Super Bowl trophy. Only five NFC squads have shorter title odds than Pete Carroll's charges.
The Green Bay Packers suffered their fifth straight loss on Sunday, going down to the lowly Detroit Lions. Their Super Bowl odds have fallen all the way to +16000. According to numberFire metrics, the Packers have just a 5.7% chance of making the playoffs this season.
The aforementioned Colts, after a disemboweling at the hands of the Patriots, fell to 3-5-1 and saw their title odds fall all the way to +39000. The Colts had odds of +5000 just three weeks ago. How the mighty have fallen. The Colts have gone from title contenders to being in contention for the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, where they will get the chance to take C.J. Stroud, who is the current favorite to be drafted first overall, according to the odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.
