FanDuel Single-Game Daily Fantasy Football Helper: Week 15 Sunday Night (Giants at Commanders)
In a unique fantasy format, single-game slates feature five flex spots with identical scoring to the main slate. However, kickers are included in these contests, and there is an "MVP" roster slot. The MVP receives 1.5-times his total fantasy points, making this spot crucial.
Our Brandon Gdula has done a deep dive on single-game strategy, and we have projections for the single-game slate if you select the game from the slate tab. It's worth checking out both of those things before you make your lineups.
MVP Candidates
Saquon Barkley ($16,500): Despite a tough matchup versus a Washington Commanders' team allowing 17.0 FanDuel points and 78.6 rushing yards per game to running backs, Barkley is ranked third overall with 14.2 expected FanDuel points. While a neck ailment held the Giants' running back to 11 total touches and a 31% offensive snap percentage in Week 14, Barkley should be a full go after he was not listed on New York's injury report.
Daniel Jones ($15,000): Ranking first overall with a 16.1 fantasy point projection, New York's dual-threat quarterback will challenge a defense ranked 20th (17.2) in FanDuel points allowed to his position and 22nd (1.5) in opposing passing touchdowns per game. numberFire's models currently project Jones to record 7.0 carries for 35.5 yards versus a Washington team giving up 5.2 rushing attempts for 22.4 yards to quarterbacks.
Taylor Heinicke ($14,500): In an underrated spot against a leaky Giants' unit allowing 2.0 touchdown passes and 230.3 passing yards in their last three contests, Washington's veteran is rated first among his team and second overall with 14.4 expected FanDuel points. Despite playing in an offense ranked 22nd in pass play percentage (54.4%), Heinecke dropped back a season-high 41 times in his previous encounter versus New York.
Terry McLaurin ($14,000): After producing his best fantasy performance this season versus a New York defense allowing 12.3 receptions for 148.5 yards per game to wideouts, McLaurin is ranked as tonight's top pass catcher with 4.6 receptions for 65.4 yards on 7.9 targets. In seven games playing with Heinicke this season, the 27-year old has been his favorite receiving option, averaging 5.7 receptions for 82.6 yards on 8.7 targets.
Flex Considerations
Brian Robinson ($13,000) Washington's rookie back has a great spot to continue his recent momentum against his divisional rivals allowing 22.1 fantasy points per game to his position after Robinson accounted for 100.5 rushing yards in his last two appearances. Despite Washington's committee backfield approach, Robinson is ranked first on his team in touches (16.3), rushing yards (69.7), and touchdowns (0.49).
Antonio Gibson ($12,000): Since Robinson's return in Week 6, Gibson has still remained a key part of the Commanders' offense, averaging 13.6 touches for 66 scrimmage yards. While his rushing volume has been inconsistent, the third year back has seen steady receiving volume in their backfield, recording 3.2 receptions for 24 yards on 3.8 targets during this time period.
Darius Slayton ($11,500): Operating as his New York's top wideout, Slayton is first among his team's pass catchers in targets (5.5) and yards (42.8) against a Washington secondary ranked 16th in FanDuel points (27.6) allowed per game to wideouts.
Curtis Samuel ($11,000): In a primary slot role (70%), Samuel stands as Washington's second rated pass catcher with 8.7 expected FanDuel points including 3.3 receptions for 36.2 yards on 5.4 targets and 2.5 rushing attempts for 13.7 yards. The 26-year old has accounted for 2.8 receptions for 38.4 yards per game on 4.1 targets with Heinicke under center this season.
Isaiah Hodgins ($10,000): Since Week 10, Hodgins has seen an increased role in New York's passing game, recording 3.4 receptions for 36.6 yards on 4.2 targets. New York's second year wideout could be a sneaky option on Sunday night as their second ranked wideout with 6.5 expected fantasy points on 5.3 targets.
Washington D/ST ($9,500): On 382 pass attempts this season, New York's offensive line has allowed an eye-popping 28.1% pressure rate, an average of 2.3 seconds in the pocket, 42 quarterback hits, 47 hurries, and 44 sacks while Washington's defense has generated a 24.7% pressure percentage, a 14.6% quarterback knockdown rate, a 4.7% hurry percentage, and 34 sacks.
Jahan Dotson ($9,000): After producing his best performance since his return in Week 10. the Commanders' rookie is expected to see 3.8 targets versus a Giants' defense allowing 6.5 yards per attempt and 10.8 yards per completion.
Graham Gano ($8,500) / Joey Slye ($8,500): New York's veteran kicker has converted 100% of his nine field goal attempts and nine extra point tries in five road games this season while Slye has produced a 87.5% field goal percentage on eight attempts and a 90.8% extra point percentage on ten attempts in six home contests.
Richie James ($8,000): In a matchup versus a Washington team allowing 10.4 yards per completion and a 61.6% completion rate, New York's slot receiver is his team's third rated wideout with 2.8 receptions for 36.7 yards on 4.4 targets.
Logan Thomas ($7,000): Despite inconsistent volume, the veteran tight end is ranked third on his team in targets (4.1) against a defense allowing 5.0 receptions for 57.1 yards on 6.6 targets to his position.
