James Conner ruled out for Steelers Week 14 due to ankle injury
Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner has been ruled out for Week 14 versus the Oakland Raiders due to an ankle injury, head coach Mike Tomlin announced.
Tomlin revealed that Conner is dealing with a sprain, rather than a contusion as initially believed. Jaylen Samuels is expected to take over as the starter and Stevan Ridley will likely factor in as well. The Steelers also promoted Trey Edmunds from the practice squad.
Conner is averaging 20.1 FanDuel points through 12 games, with 201 carries for 909 yards and 12 touchdowns and 52 receptions (68 targets) for 467 yards and 1 touchdown.
