Steelers' DeAngelo Williams' MRI shows no major damage
Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams' (ankle) Monday MRI showed no major damage, and he's considered day-to-day.
Williams and the Steelers are going to do everything they can to get him ready for the weekend's Wild Card matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. The bad news is the game is on Saturday, giving Williams one less day to get healthy. Williams said he nearly came back into Week 17's game against the Cleveland Browns.
Williams has generated 34.44 Total Net Expected Points (NEP) this season on 247 opportunities, good for seventh among running backs with at least 80 opportunities on the year. His 14.32 Rushing NEP ranks third among these backs.
