Texans' Lamar Miller reportedly confirmed with torn ACL, MCL
Houston Texans running back Lamar Miller tore his ACL and MCL, an MRI confirmed, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Miller will miss all of 2019. As a result, Duke Johnson may be asked to take on a three-down role after being pigeonholed as a pass-catching back through his first four seasons in the league. Miller turned 28 in April and is entering the final year of his contract.
Miller has averaged 269.3 touches during his three seasons in Houston, so his absence opens up plenty of work for Johnson and the rest of the backfield.
