Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger to undergo season-ending elbow surgery
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will undergo season-ending elbow surgery later this week, head coach Mike Tomlin announced.
The decision was made by the Steelers' medical staff after Roethlisberger underwent an MRI Sunday evening. He will be placed on injured reserve. 2018 third-round pick Mason Rudolph is in line to make his first NFL start in Week 3 versus the San Francisco 49ers.
Big Ben completed 56.5 percent of his passes for 351 yards (5.7 yards per attempt) with 0 touchdowns and 1 interception this season.
