Colts' Parris Campbell to play more slot snaps
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Parris Campbell will "play more in the slot" this season, head coach Frank Reich said.
"I'm super excited about Parris," Reich said. "Just gotta get him on the field so he can develop as a route runner." Campbell ran 47.9 percent of his routes from the slot last year, but he was limited to just seven games by various injuries. The 2019 second-round pick will work the middle of the field between T.Y. Hilton and No. 34 overall pick Michael Pittman. He profiles as an upgrade over Chester Rogers, who played 87.9 percent of his routes from the Colts' slot last season.
Campbell is the WR80 in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings. Our models project him for 58.1 targets, 35.1 receptions, 430.1 yards, and 2.8 touchdowns. He caught 7 passes on 9 targets for 43 yards and 1 touchdown out of the slot last year.
