Drew Brees: Tre'Quan Smith set to break out in Saints' offense
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith is set up for a breakout season, says quarterback Drew Brees.
“Tre’Quan Smith is a guy who I think is ready to really blossom and just explode in this offense," Brees said. Saints head coach Sean Payton recently said that Smith is an "important part" of the Saints' offense, so there's burgeoning optimism ahead of the wideout's third season. Smith still has to deal with a loaded group of pass-catchers in New Orleasn, but he should see more than the 25 targets he drew in 2019.
numberFire's models expect Smith to have 41.5 targets, 25.2 receptions, 321.1 yards, and 2.5 touchdowns this season. He's the WR92 in our preseason fantasy rankings.
