Colts' Marlon Mack reportedly suffers torn Achilles
Indianapolis Colts running back Marlon Mack suffered a torn Achilles, an MRI confirmed, reports Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
The MRI confirmed what the Colts feared when Mack was carted off the field in Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Mack is now expected to miss the rest of the season, opening up most of the backfield work for Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines. Mack, 24, is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent after the season. The Colts will face a Minnesota Vikings team in Week 2 that just gave up 158 rushing yards to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
Hines scored the third-most FanDuel points (23.3) on Sunday's main slate and was only out-snapped by Taylor 21-20 in the second half without Mack. Rivers targeted his running backs on 17-of-46 targets (37.0 percent) in Week 1. Taylor totaled 11.9 FanDuel points on 15 touches.
