Evan Engram viewed as 'focal point' of Giants' offense

New York Giants tight end Evan Engram will continue to be the "focal point" of the offense, according to head coach Joe Judge.

What It Means:

"In terms of Evan as a player, we have all the confidence in him possible," Judge said. "We're going to keep giving him the ball, keep making him the focal point of our offense, and we expect him to keep showing up." Engram has reportedly drawn trade interest from multiple teams but the Giants "view Engram as part of their future," per ESPN's Jordan Raanan. Engram is commanding the second-highest target share (20.2 percent) on the Giants behind Darius Slayton (22.0 percent), but he's averaging a career-low 5.1 yards per target and has only reached 50 yards once this season. The Giants will face a stifling Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense in Week 8 on Monday night.

Engram is averaging 6.1 FanDuel points per game (TE29). He has the lowest average depth of target (5.0 yards) among any tight ends with at least 25 targets this season. The Bucs are allowing 9.2 FanDuel points to opposing tight ends this season.
