49ers trade Kwon Alexander to Saints for Kiko Alonso and conditional draft pick on Monday
According to Adam Schefter, the San Fransisco 49ers have reportedly acquired linebacker Kiko Alonso and a conditional fifth round pick from the New Orleans Saints in exchange for linebacker Kwon Alexander.
Alonso will join the 49ers after spending most of this season rehabbing from an ACL injury. When healthy, Alonso profiles as an early-down linebacker, averaging a 64.1 Run Defense Pro Football Focus in the past four season compared to his coverage mark at 53.0.
In his last active season during 2019, Alonso recorded three tackles for a loss, seven pressures, and two quarterback hits on 285 total defensive snaps.
