Panthers' Christian McCaffrey suffers shoulder injury in return from ankle sprain; could miss Week 10
Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey suffered a new injury Sunday in the team's 33-31 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
All eyes were on McCaffrey as he returned from a 6-week absence due to a high-ankle sprain. The superstar delivered, racking up 151 all-purpose yards and a pair of touchdowns in a triumphant return. However, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, McCaffrey now has a shoulder issue, one that could cause him to "miss more time" going forward. Rapoport went so far as to say that McCaffrey's status for Week 10's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is "very much in doubt," so that's certainly something to monitor over the next few days. Obviously, if he were to miss any period of time, Mike Davis would vault back into the RB1 conversation.
As of now, our models project McCaffrey for 77.61 rushing yards, 47.42 receiving yards, 0.91 total touchdowns and 21.01 FanDuel points against the Bucs.
