Fangio on Denver's Javonte Williams: 'We're not at all against playing him in any situation'
According to head coach Vic Fangio, Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams "has earned that trust, and we're not at all against playing him in any situation, in any time of the game."
After a strong preseason, Denver's second round pick is expected to see touches in both the run and pass game in a committee role with Melvin Gordon. As a potential RB2 to start the 2021 season, Williams could emerge as the Broncos' lead back in the second half for patient fantasy players.
For Week One's regular season matchup against the New York Giants, our models currently project Williams to produce 58.5 rushing yards on 13.2 rushing attempts and 1.81 receptions for 12.3 yards while Gordon's expectation includes 12.2 carries for 52.7 yards and 1.5 receptions for 9.6 yards.
