Eagles' Dallas Goedert lands on COVID list
The Philadelphia Eagles placed tight end Dallas Goedert on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday.
Goedert will need to test negative for the virus twice within a 24-hour span in order to be cleared for Thursday night's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Zach Ertz would likely see a larger target share without Goedert and Jack Stoll figures to fill in for two-tight end sets. Goedert is tied with Miles Sanders for fifth on the team with an 11.1% target share.
Among all tight ends with more than 10 targets this season, Goedert is adding the fifth-most Reception Net Expected Points per target and he has earned the sixth-best receiving grade from Pro Football Focus. The Buccaneers are allowing the sixth-most FanDuel points per game to the tight end position this season.
