Jalen Hurts (ankle) still Eagles starter when healthy
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (ankle) will remain the starter when healthy, per head coach Nick Sirianni.
Hurts missed Week 13 against the New York Jets due to an ankle sprain and Gardner Minshew performed great as the Eagles' replacement starter with 20-of-25 attempts for 242 yards and 2 touchdowns. Minshew may be a more efficient passer, but Hurts remains the superior fantasy option due to his rushing ability. The Eagles will face the Washington Football Team in Week 15 after their bye.
Hurts is averaging 21.9 FanDuel points per game this season while Minshew scored 18.8 FanDuel points in relief against the Jets. Minshew led all quarterbacks in Week 13 with 0.48 Passing Net Expected Points per drop back, which ranks first for the season among all quarterbacks with double-digit drop backs. Hurts ranks 28th in that group with an average of 0.08 Passing NEP per drop back.
